Will G. Phillips
Will G. Phillips remembers the moment he decided he wanted to become an attorney.
Watching his father, a well-known orthopedic surgeon, operate on a victim who had been struck by a drunken 18-wheeler driver, Will knew he wanted to help victims of tragic accidents.
So more than a decade ago, Phillips teamed up with David Greene to found Greene & Phillips – Injury Lawyers.
Will was born in Birmingham and grew up in Montgomery. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Birmingham-Southern College, where he majored in political science and minored in history. He then received a Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law of Faulkner University.
During his studies, he co-founded the BSC Conservancy, a student environmental group, which allowed him to meet President George H. W. Bush on three occasions. On behalf of the BSC Conservancy, Will accepted the 1000 Points of Light award from the President. He was also SGA president his senior year.
Phillips is a member on the Board of Trustees for The University of Mobile, a Southern Baptist-affiliated school. He is also an ally attorney for the Alliance Defending Freedom
. He lives in Mobile with his wife and their five children.
Since forming Greene & Phillips with David Greene, Will has helped injured Alabama residents receive a hundred million dollars in settlements and verdicts. He handles cases dealing primarily in personal injury, products liability, and criminal defense, including federal court cases and serious felonies.
“In law, I think what I enjoy is helping people get past a hard time and helping bring a good end out of something bad,” said Will.
