For attorney Donald (Donnie) R. Riggins Jr., it’s about fighting back. “You have major million and billion-dollar corporations taking advantage of the average Joe, every single day,” said Riggins, “but occasionally, they try that with someone who refuses to be bullied, and they hire an attorney instead of quietly going away.”
He is so committed to his clients, that he is routinely found visiting them in hospital rooms and intensive care units. “Sometimes, we are the only people in their corner,” he says.
Donnie originally hails from Wetumpka, Alabama. Following high school, he attended Auburn University where he was also a member of the 2010 National Championship Football team. Donnie earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2013, becoming the first member of his family to graduate from college. Donnie then went on to earn his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2016. While in law school, he received the CALI award for his scholarship work in Constitutional Criminal Procedure and was a member of the Federalist Society.
Prior to joining Greene & Phillips, Donnie worked as an assistant city prosecutor and assistant city attorney for the city of Guntersville, Alabama. Currently, Donnie’s practice focuses on automobile accidents, personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, premises liability, workers compensation claims, and veterans disability benefits.
Donnie lives in Mobile, and is a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
