The Greene & Phillips Player of the Week is Daphne junior quarterback Christian Segar.

The Greene & Phillips Player of the Week recognizes not only the top talent in high school sports, but also great teammates, hard workers, and most improved athletes along the Gulf Coast, Birmingham, and throughout Alabama.

Segar played an outstanding game against rival Spanish Fort, leading the No. 9 Trojans to a 42–28 win (their first victory in the rivalry in five years). Segar completed 20 of 26 passes for 336 yards and five touchdowns, with scoring throws of 14, 13, 31, 12, and 71 yards.

Under veteran head coach Kenny King, the Trojans are now 5–1 and head back into Region 1 play Friday night at the brand-new Davidson High School stadium.
