This week’s Greene & Phillips player of the week is Vigor senior running back Demetrius Johnson.

Johnson carried the ball 31 times for 205 yards and a touchdown as the Wolves shut out previously undefeated and number-one-ranked Williamson with a 12–0 victory in front of nearly 15,000 fans at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Head Coach Renardo Jackson calls Johnson “the heartbeat of the Vigor team.”

For the season, Johnson has rushed for 907 yards and nine touchdowns, helping lead the Wolves to a 7–1 record as they prepare to host Satsuma this Friday night.
