The Greene & Phillips Player of the Week is UMS-Wright Lady Bulldogs Junior Post Player Duffie Skidmore.
In the Bulldogs first week of Area 1-5A competition the lady Bulldogs went 2-0 defeating BC Rain & Williamson. Duffie led the lady Bulldogs over BC Rain recording 12 points,10 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. In their meeting versus Williamson, Duffie lead all scorers with 14 points,15 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. The Lady Bulldogs are currently 13–7 on the season.
Head coach, Terry Canova says,
“Duffie is a tremendous teammate and a tireless worker. Duffie really put in the extra time this off-season and took herself from being a role player last season to a Key figure to our success so far this season. The great thing is, she is only scratching the surface of where her potential might take her over the next two seasons.”
